Heavens Hockey Star
By Katie Jones
So many people come in and out of our lives, Its hard to believe such a special life had to end For Steve, its not the end, only the beginning For the son, brother, Godfather, and friend Steve was well known near and far, Wherever he journeyed, a room was filled with laughter His great personality, wittiness, and contagious smile, Are memories well treasure today, tomorrow, and long after. Steve had people laughing until they cried, Now we are crying a different kind of tears. The pain of knowing a young life ended too soon, Although Steve lived a life well beyond his years. He also adored a sweet baby girl in his life, Every time he held her, his heart filled with more love. Even though he cannot be her Godfather on earth, He will guide her through life from up above. Steve was a couple weeks shy of age twenty-three, He had so much more left to do. Hockey-lover gone pro, Indiana Ices #78,Would have liked to stop another puck or two. When the "Worlds Greatest Hockey Fan" went to heaven, We can imagine he was geared with his stick, helmet, and skates, Talked to God about starting "Heavens Hockey League" As he skated past the pearly gates. If you ever feel down, or that he missed too much, remember he has no limit to what he can be, And the impact the brave soul made and the lives he touched, As he walks along the side of God for eternity. We miss you, Steve!
